A Kingdom Leader follows the example of Jesus. He freely and voluntarily humbles himself. Christ’s whole life from cradle to the grave was marked by genuine humility. He was not full of himself as my father would say of some people. He was humble and committed to obedience. Do you feel yourself better than other people? Do you have a respected man or woman in your life that you follow? Is that person following Christ? Are you able to hear the voice of truth in His Word? Jesus was humble and listened so that he could obey. Phil. 2:5-8 says, Think of yourselves the way Christ Jesus thought of himself. He had equal status with God . . . When the time came, he set aside the privileges of deity and took on the status of a slave, became human! Having become human, he stayed human. It was an incredibly humbling process. He didn’t claim special privileges. Instead, he lived a selfless, obedient life and then died a selfless, obedient death—and the worst kind of death at that—a crucifixion. (The Message) We are praying for your commitment to obedience. Cathy and Danny Sartin www.deeperstillmissions.com (1) The Holy Bible: New International Version. Electronic ed.
