![]() Cathy and I met with Laura Anderson, young missionary intern from Dallas Seminary, who has just gone on staff with Young Life. “I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy becasue of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:3-6 This month has found us in Mississippi for a family reunion and Texas seeing family, friends and ministry partners. The memories revisited in Fort Worth, Dallas, McKinney, Prosper, Sebasterpol and Jackson hold rich memories of years gone by. We had meeting after meeting that meant reconnecting with some we have not seen for decades. Our visit to the Dallas/Ft. Worth area included childhood friends, ministry missionaries, family and the church I served in during the seventies. It is nice to see how God has worked in others lives during those times. We found ourselves counseling four families in Memphis during May. Danny conducting chaplaincy meetings with a local company while also coaching a local pastor through difficult circumstances at his church. Danny worked with our local steering committee to build the future board for Deeper Still Missions. Local meetings included six mentoring relationships and prayer with the local high school principal. All of this is love below the surface. What a joy to serve Him with you.
