A Kingdom Leader has an attitude that is gentle and humble. He is open and teachable. She is poised and a clear thinker. They are polite and gracious to those in authority. They are appreciated by others because they are pleasant to be around. Is your heart fixed only on God? Can you correct others without arrogance? Do you defend your Christian faith with gentleness? Are you ready to be taught by the Word of God each day? Or is your heart flooded with bitterness and contentiousness? Daniel amazes me with his gentleness and humility in serving four pagan kings in Babylon . Daniel 1:4 says, young men without any physical defect, handsome, showing aptitude for every kind of learning, well informed, quick to understand, and qualified to serve in the king’s palace. He was to teach them the language and literature of the Babylonians. (1) We pray that animosity does not stain your heart while you lead others. A Kingdom Leader has the courage to face his own inner weakness. He has a firmness of mind in the face of needed change. What needs to be removed from your heart, mind and soul? Courage is almost a contradiction in terms. It means a strong desire to live taking the form of a readiness to die. —G.K. Chesterton, Orthodoxy I Peter 2:1 says, Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind. We are praying for you today. Grand Rapids; Zondervan, 1996, c1984, S I Peter 2:1 A Kingdom Leader is committed to character, a by-product of patience during trials and tribulation. This character comes from a person who is unswerving from his loyalty to faith and a deliberate purpose. The dross of the heart is removed from the pure and precious medal of the soul. It leaves the pristine reflection of God in a leader’s life. The asset of difficulties helps them accomplish patience and remain under any trial that comes their way. Are you willing to be steadfast, constant and endure the greatest trials and sufferings? Are you remaining under trials in a God-honoring way so as to learn the lesson they are sent to teach? Or, do you get out from under them in an effort to be relieved of their pressure? Tried integrity is a state of mind that has stood the test and stayed under trials. Nehemiah remains patient through the entire process of rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem, one brick at a time. Romans 5:3-4 says. . . We also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance, perseverance, character; and character, hope. (1) We hope and pray that you will reflect Jesus Christ today.
