Mother's Know! We have found ourselves captivated by animals in Africa. Especially those mother's in Kruger National Park in South Africa. We have learned that you give plenty of distance between a mother and it's baby. More than once we have had a mother elephant square off our vehicle and clearly say back off! Flapping ears and their shaking head gives a clear warning. We have also seen videos of vehicles being attacked by an animal. Sometimes that has been a protective mother! Pictured above is a mother Hyena and baby that is only days old. We were able to sit and watch this mother give careful attention to her new born. It was a touching scene as she fed the baby, nuzzled with the mother and sort of bounced from the den to her mother laying in the sun. We were able to sit and watch for an extended time the interaction between the mother and babies. The entire scene was very touching and enjoyable. The mother carefully monitored anyone near her baby and stood immediately prepared to defend and protect the child from any threat! It is heart breaking to see that a child is abandoned. Cathy is holding a little girl who was left of the doorstep of a church we were visiting in Graskop, South Africa. While I preached Cathy held this little girl and made her feel accepted, wanted and loved. You wonder all the thoughts that went through the mind of Mary and Joseph as they did the same thing with a little baby called Jesus. The love of Christ was nurtured and developed in the arms of his mother. The heart of a mother is direct gift from God. Love the babies in your world today! They are a special gift! A leader is aware that deception comes carefully packaged as the truth. It will seem harmless at first, but it can become destructive to thinking and relationships. Adam and Eve fell in the garden to a wisely twisted question from Satan, did God say? They ate the fruit from the forbidden tree. Do you believe the Word of God is completely trustworthy? Did you accept the premise that the Bible has several mistakes? Can you believe everything you hear about others. . . from others? Do you practice poise amid conflicting truths? John 19:39 (ESV) 39 uNicodemus also, who earlier had come to Jesus5 by night, came vbringing a mixture of wmyrrh and aloes, about seventy-five pounds6 in weight. The King James Version of the Bible will say one-hundred pounds. Which is correct? They both are correct. The KJV is directly translating the one-hundred pounds (Greek) which was the weight of a Roman pound. It was approximately 11.2 ounces. In standard weight today, it would be seven-five pounds. As we move from innocence to experience we find a subtle shift in truth. What appeared harmless in the past has now become malicious and destructive. It will turn the massive heart of belief into a sinking wreck. The unsinkable becomes our own personal Titanic! When you run upon difficulties in God’s Word take a deep breath and relax. Calm your heart to patiently seek the truth no matter how complicated the difficulty might be. Seek wisdom from someone who is well trained in the original languages of the Bible. A Kingdom Leader always has godly leaders around them who can conduct the search for truth together. Jim Jones deceived many back in 1978. He wrote a book on the errors in the Bible. He convinced others to trust him instead. We pray that you are not fooled.
