  Mother's Know! We have found ourselves captivated by animals in Africa. Especially those mother's in Kruger National Park in South Africa. We have learned that you give plenty of distance between a mother and it's baby. More than once we have had a mother elephant square off our vehicle and clearly say back off! Flapping ears and their shaking head gives a clear warning. We have also seen videos of vehicles being attacked by an animal. Sometimes that has been a protective mother!  Pictured above is a mother Hyena and baby that is only days old. We were able to sit and watch this mother give careful attention to her new born. It was a touching scene as she fed the baby, nuzzled with the mother and sort of bounced from the den to her mother laying in the sun.
We were able to sit and watch for an extended time the interaction between the mother and babies. The entire scene was very touching and enjoyable. The mother carefully monitored anyone near her baby and stood immediately prepared to defend and protect the child from any threat! It is heart breaking to see that a child is abandoned. Cathy is holding a little girl who was left of the doorstep of a church we were visiting in Graskop, South Africa. While I preached Cathy held this little girl and made her feel accepted, wanted and loved. You wonder all the thoughts that went through the mind of Mary and Joseph as they did the same thing with a little baby called Jesus. The love of Christ was nurtured and developed in the arms of his mother. The heart of a mother is direct gift from God. Love the babies in your world today! They are a special gift!
