A Kingdom Leader has a heart that is wholesome. It is not contaminated with a tainted purpose.
God asked Balaam to go with the men of Moab. They had arrived with a fee for divination (Num. 22:7).
Balaam had apparently felt in his heart that he would get the fee if he went.
Peter says of Balaam, who loved gain from wrongdoing, but was rebuked for his own transgression; a dumb ass spoke with human voice and restrained the prophet’s madness.
The motives of your heart should be pure? Can you see God?
