God's Provision
His grace is everywhere!

I drove into the cemetery as I have many times before. It has become a habit to seek solitude for prayers each morning that we are home. I turned the corner to head to the back of the property. 

Suddenly two deer jumped across the road and raced for the woods. It was a mother and adolescent. I stopped the car and turned off the motor. My windows were down as the mother began prancing back and forth. Her ears were on point as she was straining to see someone.

I turned my head and discovered the object she was struggling to see. It was a newborn fawn only a few yards from my car. She was laboring to stand up and follow mama. She reached out her left leg that was shaking and made unsteady steps toward my car. The tiny fawn began walking in front of my car and I expected it to come in view as she passed the vehicle.

Then I heard the mother snort. I waited and the baby did not appear. Concerned, I stepped out of the car and walked slowly toward the front. There she was! Collapsed near the heat of the engine. My mind raced with questions. She didn’t appear to be breathing but was totally motionless. I carefully stopped some vehicles and made them aware of the baby. They backed up from the area to prepare for a funeral later in the day. I got back in my car and slowly backed it up so there was room for the baby.

The next thing I knew . . . she jumped up and began prancing and following the scent of the mother. Instinctively the baby responded to the mother and collapsed in a defensive posture. 

The experience reminded me of some missionaries that we have encountered over the last fifteen years. When you live with them, you can sense the pressure in their life. Coming along side them . . . and pitching our tent in their world has built safe places for them to share their struggles.

God has provided funds that will reach far into the future. We have been witnessing the grace and mercy of our Lord in the last six months. Our matching gift has humbled my core as people have given from their heart!

Jesus highlights the gift of the widow who gave two mites. The smallest coin available during that time. That has happened numerous times. Our income has totaled $132,000 with additional promises of $20,000 in the future. I have been privileged to watch God move and so thankful for the gifts that will serve so many around the globe. 

Thank you for doing what was possible! God will multiply each gift.
